We opened our doors in 1970, when the neighborhood was very different and lunch was already a sacred tradition. Since then, we've seen generations come and go: grandparents who came for their sandwich and cremaet (a traditional Catalan coffee drink), parents who brought their children, and today, grandchildren who still sit at the same bar. Fashions change, but the esmorzaret (mid-morning snack) remains the same ritual it always has been.
