Traditional bar in Valencia since 1970
More than half a century of Valencian lunches
A neighborhood bar with a Valencian soul
A tradition since 1970
Half a century serving esmorzarets has taught us that good things aren't improvised. We maintain our traditional recipes, freshly sliced bread, and that friendly, local touch that you can't learn from any manual, only with years of experience.
Product of the land
We work with high-quality cured meats, bread, and raw materials, staying true to the authentic flavors of Valencian cuisine. Every ingredient is carefully chosen so that lunch tastes exactly as it should, without any tricks or rushing.
Neighborhood atmosphere
This is a place to share a meal, chat, and unwind for a while. It's a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone is welcome, from lifelong neighbors to first-time visitors who end up coming back.
The esmorzaret, much more than a sandwich
- The snack, to share
- The sandwich, freshly made on the spot
- The drink, your choice
- Coffee or cremaet, the final touch

Frequently asked questions about our bar
Bar Nuevo Oslo opened its doors in 1970. We've been in the hospitality business ever since, serving Valencian lunches in the city for over fifty years, maintaining the same neighborhood bar spirit we started with. Several generations of customers have frequented our bar, and that's probably our best endorsement.
The combination of history, product, and service. We preserve the traditional mid-morning snack ritual, preparing each sandwich fresh with quality ingredients, and cultivating the warm, welcoming atmosphere that only a truly authentic traditional bar in Valencia can offer. We're not trying to reinvent the wheel; we're simply trying to do things right, the way we always have.
We're just a stone's throw from the center of Valencia, in one of the city's liveliest neighborhoods, perfect for taking a break between work, shopping, or a day of sightseeing. You can easily find us on Google Maps from our website and reach us on foot or by public transport without any hassle.
It's the typical mid-morning snack in Valencia: a spread or appetizer to share, a hearty sandwich, a drink, and a coffee or cremaet to finish. More than just a meal, it's a gastronomic and social ritual with over half a century of tradition, a very Valencian way of taking a mid-morning break.
Our menu features sandwiches designed and created by us, from basic to premium, including classics like the Chivito and the Terreta, as well as grilled meats, Spanish omelet, and cured meats. Most lunches include a drink and are finished off with coffee or a cremaet, for a complete esmorzaret experience.
It's not essential: you can come directly and order at the bar. However, during peak hours we recommend booking online through our website to guarantee your spot, especially on weekends, which is when we get the most people enjoying their lunch.
